Ingredients

  • 6 ounce tomato paste
  • 3 Tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • ⅓ cup powdered erythritol 
  • 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons liquid smoke
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper 
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 Tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes, optional

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, add all ingredients (except the butter). Bring mixture to a boil.
  2. Once boiling, reduce heat to simmer and cook for about 15 minutes, until sauce has thickened to desired consistency.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in butter until a glossy sheet occurs. Add red pepper flakes if desired.
