Turpentine Update Day 15

I made a big mistake today taking turpentine.  I took it as soon as I woke up so I would have an empty stomach, as recommended.  I measured out a tsp of turpentine, and then added it to a tablespoon of castor oil.  So I thought.  It happened that I put the castor oil and the turpentine in identical bottles, because they have droppers to measure with.  Then I used the turpentine instead of the castor oil. It startled me when I took it.  It was a lot stronger than usual.  Then I realized I had taken a whole tablespoon of turpentine.

What happens when one takes a tablespoon of turpentine?  I didn't feel bad.  For some reason I felt like I had drunk a big glass of wine.  My knees were weak, and my head was dizzy.  I felt relaxed and had to go lie down again for a while.  I missed an appointment I needed to go to.  The one bad part is that I burned my mouth and my throat a little.

I may end my turpentine therapy since I've run out of turpentine now.   It seems to have done some good.

Turpentine Therapy Day 11

I started thinking yesterday that taking turpentine was a bad idea.  They say that's the parasites talking.  They hijack your brain and put thoughts in it. There is actually evidence of this that is accepted mainstream science.  But suddenly today, on day 11, I noticed that my shoulder didn't hurt.  I injured my shoulder four years ago.  At first it was a big problem, then it was just a nuisance.  Who among us hasn't injured their shoulder?

So this was exciting news in my world.  If my shoulder could heal, what else could happen?  Anything!  It's a miracle!

An email friend suggested that in addition to turpentine I should add borax, up to half a teaspoon a day if I could tolerate it.  So I thought about it and decided to add borax, a fourth of a teaspoon.  How did that go?  I didn't think it went that well.  Yesterday I felt like the Mafia had beaten me up.  Well, I thought, that's the end of taking borax.  Again, the parasites talking. By borax, I am speaking of the cleaning powder.  Twenty Mule Team Borax.  It contains boron, and some say it's a necessary nutrient, and deficiency can result in arthritis.

But today I have definitely improved.  I can move in a lot less pain.  I am starting to notice that a lot of things are getting done that I needed to do, but put off because of pain.  Other people also notice the difference.

So what's next?  There's more?  Oh yes!  Next is diatomateous  earth.  Why? It flushes out the small intestine.  So what?  Well, who knows what's going on in there?  OK.  I'll add that.  What else someone will convince me to try?

I suppose no one has wondered if the parasites are gone.  This is hard to say because they can be hard to find.  May I tell you a story?  I took my dog to the vet, and they checked him for parasites.  They claimed he had none.  Later that day I was playing with him and what did I see?  I got a baggie and captured the unmentionable and took it to the vet.  Uh oh.  That's a tapeworm, they said.  They're rare around here (the Mohave Desert at the time).  Good thing he's a puppy because it's expensive to treat.  But don't worry.  They don't infect people.  Oh? I have bad news.  Dog heart worms and dog tapeworms can infect people.  In the case of tapeworm, one would have to accidentally eat on of the dog's fleas.  Dog heart worms supposedly don't cause illness in people. But the point is, why did they do a test and assure me that the dog didn't have any parasites?  Their explanation was that they can't tell.  OK.  Therefore, we can have parasites also and they can't tell either.  And one might wait a long time for any doctor to even think to check for them.

And so it was that I jumped out of bed and took a teaspoon of turpentine gum spirits with a tablespoon of castor oil first thing on an empty stomach.  Then I stirred 1/4 teaspoon of borax into 1 quart of water for drinking water today.  Will I take the diatomaceous earth?  Maybe.   That depends on how brave I get.

Turpentine Cure Day 4.

I've finally hit a bump on Turpentine Road.  It didn't take long really.  Last night I couldn't fall asleep and wound up still awake at 3:30 am.  How did that happen?  I don't know.

After going to the gym I spent a lot of time with muscle massage and a hot mineral bath since that keeps a lot of muscle soreness away.  I usually spend a lot more time on muscle massage than I do on exercise, because otherwise things will get achy.  Yesterday I did leg exercises to my personal max and legs have such large muscles they're hard to massage enough.  I used cupping all over them, and then pounded on all my muscles with my fists.

By the time I was finished with all that it was late and I had missed supper.  So then I turned in.  But sleep didn't come.

Finally I decided to get up and eat at about 2:30 am.  I had a glass of exogenous ketones for energy and some evil Ritz crackers, since I didn't want to prepare anything on the stove and cause a fire.  Finally the sleep switch went to the on position, but it was a night of tossing and turning and not much sleep.

Did the exercise stir up the candida?  Did the hot bath cause the problem?  What happened?  I hope it will be smoother sailing tonight.

Turpentine Cure Day 3

It was another wonderful day in Paradise.  First thing after I woke up I took one teaspoon  of gum spirits of turpentine dissolved in a tablespoon of sugar.  I watched a video on Youtube yesterday about a man that used turpentine to rid himself of parasites and candida.  In the comments he had given other people his email address, so I sent him an email and asked how long he took turpentine every day.  He said 4 months!!  What!??  I was thinking 4 days...  Besides that, he said that he continues to take turpentine for a week every month so he never has to deal with the horrors of parasites again.  Amazing.

Well, it's not that bad.  It seems like I buzz for about an hour, but not in a bad way.  My brain seems to be wondering what just happened.

I don't care what you do to improve your diet, you will hear lectures about how you must do better or you'll have only yourself to blame when horrible things happen to you.  And yet, there's only so much one can do.  You decide, OK, no more sugar.  Low carbohydrate.  I did this and immediately noticed a big improvement in my health and teeth.  But the nagging continued. Not enough.

Once again, with the "turpentine protocol," there's all this advice on the internet about how one absolutely must become a vegan or don't even think about turpentine.  Oh bull.   This vegan stuff isn't really about one's health.  It's about "the planet,"  "the animals," anything but what's actually best for one's health.  It's invariably high starch, which doesn't work for me.  I like to float along through life in ketosis, where the waters of blood sugar are calm.   Besides that, vegans call non vegans "meat eaters," as if that's a bad thing.  Why do they care?  They get mad about my diet.  Why?  I don't eat an inordinate amount  of protein.  I eat about 70 grams of protein a day, and fill in the rest of my diet with vegetables and fat.  In fact, I eat a lot of fat, but not salad oil.  Avocado, coconut, butter.

So anyway, that's as far as I'm willing to go with diet, other than outright fasting.  I even tried "dry fasting" for a day.  It seemed to do some good, but I had a hard time pinning down what good.

What has the turpentine detox done for me?  Am I a bundle of energy?  Well, I went to the gym today and did pretty much all I could manage for one day.  I have rheumatoid arthritis, and if I can find a way out of that I intend to do it.  So, yes, the pain levels are way down.  I suppose it's going to take four months.  Did the parasites go away?  I haven't seen anything.  The theory is that candida causes all sorts of havoc.  We'll see.  I don't think candida likes turpentine.

I saw another video, or part of one, about pine needle oil from Korea.  There was a man talking about it.  He didn't look like the poster child of health, and didn't sound like the poster child of public speaking.  He included some of the benefits of this therapy briefly.  You'll have to do better than that my boy.  "It helps arthritis..."  End of story.  How?  Pain?  Rebuilding tissues?  Getting rid of toxins? He didn't have any idea.  He didn't seem to know anything at all about pine needle oil or why one would consider it.  Then he invited questions.  Oh?  Question....how is pine needle oil different from turpentine?  I bought the expensive turpentine.  Not "food grade."  There is no such thing as food grade turpentine.  But the least toxic to people.  This was $14 on Amazon. The pine needle oil is fabulously expensive.  I seemed to be watching an ad for it.  No, I'll stick with turpentine.  BTW don't take more than a teaspoon if you ever do this.  Some poor soul was taking a tablespoon a day, and he kept asking all the Youtubers why he was getting so sick.  Oh, keep it up, they said, it's the parasites dying off.  The Herxheimer effect.  Oh really?  No, he was taking a sometimes lethal dose of about a tablespoon a day.  He thought a tablespoon was a teaspoon.

One final thought.  I mentioned that I like to be in ketosis because it prevents the ups and downs of blood sugar and I think is a more stable source of energy, at least for me.  I found out a few months ago that one could actually buy ketones and enhance ketosis.  My body is very stubborn about going into ketosis, short of fasting for several days.  A low carb diet doesn't do it most of the time.  I saw videos and read articles about how silly it is to take "exogenous ketones" because ... because.  ??  Because the person speaking thought that ketosis wasn't that important to ...  to what?  I suppose they assume this is strictly for weight loss.  No, my diet is for optimal health and feeling my best, and that is definitely ketosis.  I sleep a lot better and feel a lot better.  The speakers appear to believe that anyone that takes exogenous ketones does so in order to eat all the carbs they please, remain in ketosis, and continue to lose weight.  That's cheating! No cheating! That was never what I was trying to do.  Ketosis can prevent seizures and all sorts of mischief.  It is recommended for polycystic ovarian syndrome, and lots of other health issues.  These are not small issues.  They aren't uncommon issues either.  Try as I might, not eating a single carb day after day, I usually am not in ketosis, and don't reap all the benefits of a low carb diet.  So voila!  Problem solved.
