Lavonda Escapes Rabbit Hall

 

Rabbit Man called this morning.  He was in the most marvelous mood I've seen him in in a long time.  Lavonda, his wife's niece, has quit living there.   Some of the clan showed up to rescue her.  They are good Christians, and so things should go great.  In fact, her new benefactor is the pastor of a church.  Rabbit Man says this is the "honeymoon phase" of their Lavonda experience.   Oh, he chatted on and on for about an hour.  It was good to hear him so elated.  

The Lavonda version of life at Rabbit Hall was grim, with Rabbit Man being satanic.  The plan had been to sneak in when Rabbit Man wasn't there and get the unfortunate Lavonda to safety.  Well, he does have a temper.  He was absolutely euphoric to see the tail lights departing with Lavonda inside the vehicle.  

Rabbit Man didn't give many details about the problems he had had with Lavonda, except to mention to she talks loudly and endlessly on her cell phone.  He finally told her that all her phones calls would have to be made outside because she was being too disruptive.  He said that for unknown reasons he had had a rash on his arms that was something like a burn.  It disappeared when Lavonda left.    

Tranquility has returned to Rabbit Hall.
