Thanksgiving?

 

Thanksgiving is Thursday.  What haven't I done?  I haven't been to Walmart in two weeks.  Uh oh.  

About a month ago I bought Stove Top Stuffing and chicken gravy because I knew the store would be out of stock when I decided to shop for Thanksgiving.  So one base is covered.  

What will I make for Thanksgiving?  Not turkey.  Maybe roasted chicken.   

What I usually like to do is eat the kind of food I usually don't eat.  Potato chips with onion dip.  Pizza.  Coconut cream pie.  Stuffing with gravy.    Biscuits?  I buy bread online, but insanely enough they say it won't be here for a week.  ???  This was puzzling, since I ordered it a week ago.  Oh yeah.  Thanksgiving.   I still need to treat Mom.  I asked her what she wanted.  She didn't know.  I suppose it needs to be asked, "Do you want cherry pie, lemon meringue pie, pecan pie....?"  By the time I've presented all the options I could have an order placed already.  She will say she wants cranberry sauce.  However, she will not eat cranberry sauce.  She will play with it.  

I should go shopping today, just in case there is anything left at Walmart that I want.   In this weather?  All fairyland is breaking loose outside.  

Have I learned my lesson?  Don't wait for the day before Thanksgiving to go grocery shopping.   I can do this.  I can do this.
