The Magic Happens

 

This afternoon, to my joy and relief, the sound of a lawnmower outside my window was heard.  I had been starting to wonder what I was going to do.   My step brother came over and mowed my lawn.   He apologized for not coming by sooner.  "Oh, it wasn't an emergency," I said.  He gave me a sidelong glance.  "Well, it was starting to be an emergency..." I said.   Yay!
