Hurricane Denier

http://www.nhc.noaa.gov

What manner of craziness is going on?   Is it time to quit believing in hurricanes?   Hurricane Jose is reported to have intensified to 150 mph and become Category 4, only 7 mph away from Category 5.   I am skeptical.  I'll save disbelief for when it's reported as 200 mph.

I have accepted Hurricane Irma being 155 mph because it has deteriorated some to a Category 4.

Hurricane Katia has intensified to a Category 2 storm at 105 mph and is likely to strike eastern Mexico.   Hurricane?  No.  Hurricanes form in the Atlantic Ocean, not in the Gulf of Mexico.  Can anyone name a single other hurricane that formed entirely in the Gulf of Mexico?  Therefore it doesn't meet the definition of hurricane, is disqualified, and can be declared non existent.

I am a hurricane denier.
