Rolling Log Leprechaun Trap

There.  That should do it.

The video details the successful leprechaun trapping by a Youtuber.  I immediately ordered the rolling log off Ebay.

One punches holes on opposite sides of the five gallon bucket and installs the rolling log.  Pictured here is peanut butter, but really, that's not what the leprechauns are after.  Put a fake gold coin there, or, lacking that, at least some glitter.  For goodness sake don't drown him!  You're going to need him in order to force him to tell you where he keeps the gold he collected making shoes for the fairies.  The Youtuber in this video must have forgotten that.

Try to find a green five gallon bucket somewhere, and failing that, as you will, take any old bucket and cover it with green paper or cloth, suitably decorated.  Why can't I use a rain barrel? you ask.  The rolling log isn't big enough.  Maybe one day they will make bigger ones.

Find an itty bitty ladder and place it at an incline to the top of the bucket.  Go ahead and make a sign on the bottom that says, "DO NOT CLIMB!"  You might have others signs in smaller letters sprinkled about the the side of the bucket that say, "NO LEPRECHAUNS!"  "LEPRECHAUNS NOT ALLOWED!" "NO TRESPASSING!" Etc.

Violá!

One might put a nice LED type light above this, to make the bait glitter.  I think it would be good to have a camera catching the action.  I may post the video on Youtube.   Don't forget to have Irish jigs playing....
